Wat we treat - DigiPhysio Zürich
At DigiPhysio, we treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions – from acute pain to chronic issues. Whether it’s back pain, joint problems, sports injuries, or post-surgery recovery, our personalised physiotherapy helps you reduce pain, improve mobility, and increase your performance sustainably – either in person or online, whichever works best for you.

Running injuries
Running injuries are common. The most frequent running injuries include: plantar fasciitis, shin splints, Achilles tendinitis, patellofemoral pain syndrome,
IT band syndrome (runner’s knee), stress fractures, muscle strains, and muscle injuries.
However, with the right support, they don’t have to be severe or long-lasting.

Shoulder pain
Shoulder pain is especially common among people who sit a lot, work overhead, or are athletically active. The most frequent causes of pain include impingement syndrome, irritation or tears of the rotator cuff, bursitis (inflammation of the bursa), shoulder instability or dislocation, osteoarthritis of the shoulder joint, calcific tendinitis (tendinosis calcarea), or frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis).

Knee pain
Knee pain is one of the most common reasons people seek physiotherapy. It affects not only runners and athletes, but also individuals with desk jobs or those returning to activity after a period of inactivity. Common causes of knee pain include overuse injuries such as patellar tendinopathy (jumper’s knee), iliotibial band syndrome (runner’s knee/ITBS), meniscus irritation or tears, cartilage damage, knee osteoarthritis, ligament injuries (such as ACL tears), and muscle imbalances around the knee joint.

Back pain
Back pain is one of the most common complaints in physiotherapy – whether it’s caused by long hours of sitting, lack of movement, poor posture, or overuse from sports and exercise. Typical causes include muscle tension, disc problems (such as disc protrusion or herniation), sacroiliac joint dysfunction (SI joint syndrome/ISG), as well as stress and weak core muscles, which can all contribute to or worsen back pain.

Hip pain
Hip pain is a common issue, especially among active individuals, older adults, and those who spend long hours sitting.
Typical causes include hip impingement (FAI), gluteal tendinopathy, trochanteric bursitis, tendon insertion irritation, hip osteoarthritis (coxarthrosis), and muscular imbalances around the hip joint.

Pain during strength training
Pain during strength training is common. Typical issues include muscle strains (especially back pain), tendonitis (especially shoulder pain), and joint pain (especially knee pain).
Muscular imbalances and insufficient warm-up are common causes.
Injuries we treat

Ankle joint pain
Ankle pain is often caused by twisting injuries, overuse, or inflammation. Typical symptoms include swelling, limited range of motion, and pain during walking or sports.
Early diagnosis and treatment help prevent long-term damage and restore mobility quickly.

Foot pain
Foot pain is often caused by overuse, misalignments, or inflammation such as plantar fasciitis. Affected individuals often experience pain while walking, standing, or exercising.
With the right treatment and targeted relief, foot pain doesn't have to be permanent. Early assessment helps reduce symptoms and prevent long-term damage.

Elbow Pain
Elbow Pain – A Common Overuse Injury Treated with Physiotherapy
Elbow pain often develops from overuse, repetitive movements, or strain during sports and daily activities.
Common causes include tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis), golfer’s elbow (medial epicondylitis), bony injuries, bursitis, tendon insertion irritation, and elbow joint osteoarthritis.
